Place the garment flat, smooth out seams and thick areas, then pre-press for 2–3 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Lay the DTF sheet ink side down on the garment and align it carefully before pressing.

Cover the film with parchment or a protective sheet and press with:

For thicker garments like hoodies or fleece, stay closer to the higher end of the range.

Open the press and peel the film immediately using a smooth, low-angle motion while the transfer is still hot.

🧺Care Instructions

Treat your prints right so they stay crisp, flexible, and vibrant wash after wash.

  • ⏳ Wait 24 hours before the first wash so the adhesive can fully cure.
  • 🌀 Wash inside out on a gentle cycle using cold water or up to 30°C / 86°F.
  • 🚫 Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals, which can break down color and adhesion.
  • 🌬️ Hang dry for best results. If tumble drying, use a low heat setting only.
  • ♨️ Do not iron directly on the print. Iron inside out or place a cloth over the design.
  • 📏 Avoid excessive stretching over seams or highly elastic fabrics to reduce edge cracking over time.
Prints last longest when washed inside out, in cold water, and without aggressive detergents or excessive heat.
Every heat press has its own sweet spot. Small temperature, time, and pressure adjustments can make a big difference.

Start by giving your garment a quick 5-second warm press. This step removes any hidden moisture and flattens the surface, helping your Monkey Transfers print bond cleanly and evenly. Skipping this step can reduce adhesion and overall durability.

2. Position & Press

Place your transfer where you want it, then press at 275°F for 8 seconds using firm, even pressure. A smooth, consistent press gives the most vibrant results.

3. Peel & Lock It In

After pressing, wait just a moment and peel the film while it’s still hot—a confident, single motion works best.
For maximum longevity, cover the print with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet and give it an extra 5-second finishing press. This “seal press” boosts durability and wash resistance.
